The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has honoured one of its very best, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde for her achievements in the entertainment industry.
The event, which held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel Lekki, on Sunday, August 4, was a Mecca of some sort for the crème-de-la-creme of the industry and several A-list artistes who were in attendance.

As the crisis in the Lagos chapter of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, AGN deepens, national president of the guild, Ibinabo Fiberesima has threatened to arrest Don Pedro Aganbi and his supporters.
Speaking to online news source, NET, Ms. Fiberesima said the guild may have to “resort to the use of force to stop Aganbi and his cohorts from operating a parallel arm of the Lagos chapter of the guild.
A hip hop musician, Kumtap Ruthnan, has urged the private sector to support the youths to develop the music industry, saying that a lot of talented young musicians cannot come to limelight because of the lack of support.
“I think finance is the major constraint. It is not only the government that should help, we need private sector participation to promote the music industry,” Ruthnan said.
She stressed the need to establish more studios with modern facilities to promote education and music production in the country.
