Nigeria Under Siege: As Robbers Adopt New Tactics, June 04, 2012

All the 36 states of the federation now have representatives in the federal executive council as stipulated by the 1999 Constitution as amended, with the swearing in of Alhaji Inuwa Abdukadri last Wednesday.  He replaced Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman who resigned to contest Peoples Democratic Party primary in Sokoto last December. 
The recurring style which armed robbers now adopt to carry out their nefarious activities by using dangerous explosives such as dynamites while attacking commercial banks across major cities in the country attracted our attention this week. 
The development has caused untold hardship to the citizenry as banks were shut in some states with the attendant loss of economic activities, while police and other security agencies are still battling to find a way out of the recent menace.
