The Joy Of The Lord Is Your Strength (John 16:20)
Verily, verily, I say to you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.”Dearly beloved, without the joy of the Lord, life can be burdensome to so many people. But the children of God have the belief that in the presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy and in His right hand are pleasures forever more (Psalm 16:11). Joy works as a magnet to bring other people’s faith to Christ. But the eternal joy is very different from the temporary joy of this world. That is the reason why our Lord Jesus says in the book of John 15:10-11, “if ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandment, and abide in His love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” My dear, the joy of Jesus could not be understood unless one is willing to follow the Lord fully. My dearly beloved, Jesus became joy to those who really knew Him. That is why we can consistently sing “joy to the world, the Lord has come.” When you know the Lord is living within you, you will have plenty of reasons to feel joyful.Jesus’ joy gave hope to the hopeless and encouragement to those who were discouraged and disillusioned. If you are hopeless and discouraged, today, the joy of the Lord will give you hope and encouragement, in Jesus name.If you will abide in Jesus from today, you will find Christ as the answer to all your longing prayers. You will have the amazing capacity to find joy in the midst of terrible conditions. For Jesus’ joy was not conditioned upon favourable circumstances but is based upon the promise of God, that is why He said in the book of Luke 6:22 -23: “Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil for the son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.”My dear, when you consistently commune with God, His joy will be your strength. That is, communing with Him in prayer. For in the book of John 16:24, the Bible says, “hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, that your joy may be full.” My dear, until you ask God consistently for specific things, you will not know the full extent of His joy.Joyous children of God are an attractive magnet for people hungering for joy. Jeremiah said: “And from them precedes the voice of thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry. I will multiply them and they shall not be diminished.” My dear, when you read, meditate and share the word of God with others, beloved, the joy of the Lord will fill your heart to overflow. For the Bible says in the book of Jeremiah15:16 that “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, of the Lord of hosts.”So my dear, do not despair when you see worldly people in merry making. Be confident that the Lord will replace your spiritual sorrow with His eternal joy, in Jesus name, Amen. Please say these prayers:1. Let the strength of God swallow every of my weakness, in the name of Jesus.2. O Lord let the robbers of time in my destiny be wasted, in the name of Jesus.3. I shall praise my God for the downfall of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.4. Every power that brings sorrow to my life, your end has come, be consumed by fire, in the name of Jesus.5. Let the miracle that will cause revival in every area of my life, locate me now, in the name of Jesus.6. O God that changed the name of Abram to Abraham, change my name today, in the mighty name of Jesus.God bless you in Jesus Name, Amen.
